Week 2 - Lopburi.
12/10/04
To quote directly from the Lonely Planet:
"More than any other place in Thailand, Lopbury is a city besieged by Monkeys"
- which was really all the convincing I took. After arriving at the train station and realising that we were the only tourists ever to have been here, we set out to see some simians. Sadly, they were all tucked up in bed that night, but the next day we realised that we had finally arrived somewhere very special. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Notice that everyone else is on the other side of the fence.

I didn't see one of these, sadly.
Weekly Summary
Well that's week 2. The jungle was a shame, but it all finished on a high note as we eventually found some great monkeys. I really like monkeys, perhaps even more that tigers. Here's hoping next week will be even better, when we head over the border to Cambodia and stumble across an impromptu animal festival going on or something.
